The Uganda Bikers Association (UBA) is taking two-wheeled adventure to a global scale. In a groundbreaking partnership with the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), the association has officially launched the UBA Hit Europe Tour, an ambitious motorcycle expedition designed to promote Uganda’s culture and adventure tourism on the open roads of Europe. {Ref}

The high-visibility initiative was officially unveiled during a joint press conference, positioning a select team of riders as moving cultural ambassadors under the country’s iconic #ExploreUganda banner.

Inside the Route: 6 Countries, 6 Days, 1,000 Kilometers

Running from June 22nd to July 3rd, 2026, the core expedition will pack a heavy punch with a grueling yet scenic six-day ride. Rolling out on a fleet of BMW adventure motorcycles, the team will cover over 1,000 kilometers of diverse European terrain. [1, 2]

The meticulously planned itinerary cuts straight through the heart of European biking culture, spanning across six nations: [1]

  • Italy
  • France
  • Germany (A major focal point due to its historic connection to BMW manufacturing)
  • Austria
  • Switzerland
  • Liechtenstein [1, 2]

Trading Trade Shows for Throttle Therapy

Rather than relying solely on traditional, stationary indoor tourism expos, this campaign acts as a high-visibility disruptor. The riders will act as rolling billboards, sharing digital content and engaging directly with local riding communities, citizens, and travelers at every stop. [1, 2]

According to UBA President Angella Ssemukutu (affectionately known as “Angie Bae” in the biking world), the association is incredibly proud to pivot its long-standing community advocacy—historically focused on road safety and health initiatives—toward global adventure tourism. []

“This journey carries more than adventure,” the UBA shared following the launch. “We carry the flag, the stories, and the spirit of a nation.”

The official cross-continental send-off is slated to take place next week during the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE 2026), where the team will be formally flagged off before shipping out to hit the European tarmac.
